Grace United Church’s weekly Sunday worship service begins at 10:30 a.m. It is held in our fully accessible 250-seat curved sanctuary.
The biblical vision of hospitality, a welcoming into God’s love and community, is the focus and goal of our worship. At Grace, we strive to provide a spiritual space and experience in which you will be welcomed, comforted, challenged and renewed.
Everyone is welcome to attend our worship services. Whether you’re a church regular, have no religion or have never been to church before, you will be greeted warmly at Grace — and your privacy will be respected. We’re pleased when you come and we hope you find some spiritual sustenance and fellowship with us.
We are devoted to worship that is invitational and inspirational, but we are not overly “churchy.” Some people are surprised by the informality they find at Grace.
Our engagement with God’s Word is primarily through the internationally recognized New Revised Common Lectionary. It informs our prayers, music and times of reflection.
We have a minister with a social justice background who tells children’s stories and preaches thoughtful, motivating sermons.
We have a choir that can rise to the occasion. Our choir rehearses every week and often sings anthems at services. Our organist provides a sound foundation for our services as well as musical reflections. Sometimes, we’re blessed with the presence of guest vocalists and instrumentalists.
We use audio-visual screens and sound systems in our worship, keeping in mind the goal is to enhance our spiritual experience. We’re also open to using a variety of musical styles in our services, including some contemporary praise music on occasion.
