Our church is well known for outreach and mission support not only in our own community but also throughout the world.

We support the United Church of Canada's Mission and Services Fund and international emergency appeals as well as a number of local charities, youth organizations, non-profit, self-help support groups and projects abroad.

Examples of our international involvement have included:

  • Costembar Orphanage in the Dominican Republic
  • Georgian nurses medical mission to the DR
  • Days4Girls
  • Leprosy Mission
  • Food for Families
  • Sleeping Children Around the World
  • Operation Christmas Child

Our local partnerships have included:

  • Barrie Native Friendship Centre
  • Barrie Food Bank
  • Georgian Food Locker
  • David Busby Street Centre
  • Women & Children's Centre
  • Hospice Simcoe
  • Meals on Wheels
  • Youth Haven

Our building is used regularly by more than 30 local support groups and community groups serving adults and children. We have opened our doors to the public for all-candidates meetings and election voting polls. We occasionally host concerts. More than 1,000 people a week use our facilities, including:

  • Scouts, guides, cubs, brownies
  • Kempenfelt Quilters
  • AA, NarAnon & AlAnon
  • Simcoe Community Services.

We're the home venue for Third Age Barrie. We're the home of Rhythm & Pitch Children's Music, a program which offers weekly lessons for a low-cost registration fee to elementary school children between the ages of six and 13 during the school year.

We are very pleased to share our facilities with another worshipping Christian congregation, the Barrie Korean Presbyterian Church. On occasion, we've held joint worship services with choirs from both congregations that all have enjoyed.

Glimpse of Grace

We’re a friendly, welcoming, inclusive church. We don't tell you what to think or believe. We don't do guilt. We live the questions with open minds and open hearts. We invite you to join us if you’re on a spiritual journey — or looking for community.
